Welcome to the PTSA Website for Riverside High School

On behalf of the RHS PTSA, welcome to our Riverside family! As a PTSA, our goal is to advocate for our students in our school, our community, and in governing decisions. We also foster and support positive relationships between the students, staff, parents and surrounding community. We have a great PTSA board and welcome you to be a part of it. There are many ways to be involved. We encourage you to become a member. We are also looking for partners in our Friends of Riverside campaign—either as a family or business, Consider volunteering your time or talents to our various events. Feel free to browse this website for more information and to find ways to get connected. We look forward to meeting you.

National PTA Reflections 2026-2027

Does your student enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films or taking photos? Then join us in encouraging your child to have fun unleashing their inner artist with PTA Reflections!

This year’s theme, “What My Culture Means to Me”, calls for their unique interpretation through the arts. Students will enjoy rewards and recognition for their effort, and their judged entry may be selected as a winner at the school, district, state, or national level.

School Store is OPEN

School Store in the cafeteria is OPEN and going strong. But we’d like to clear up some confusion among students, so please share this graphic with yourstudents to help explain the new Incentive Program. Due to the new enforcement of the SC Smart Snack guidelines during school hours, the store is no longer allowed to SELL sugared sodas or candy. But students may EARN these items as an incentive. PTSA has added a $10 “School Store Donation” item to the menu. Every student that makes a donation will receive incentive tokens to be exchanged for sodas or candy. If a student makes a $10 donation to the Store, they will receive 5 incentive tokens, each token good for one $2 soda or $2 candy bar. This is NOT a scam. Do the math – it’s a $10 donation for 5 - $2 incentive item tokens. These donations can only be made at the school store.

The store is open for all lunch periods. We have a new menu. Please come volunteer with us!!! Grab a friend and consider a recurring time slot each week/month OR meet new people and sign up on whatever random days work with your schedule. It's easy and it's fun :) Training is provided on Mondays, or contact Kristen Vaughn for another day. We are open and need volunteers daily from 11:50-2:20. And new this year - the store will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-4:15pm (when volunteers are available) to serve our students in after-school activities. Contact Kristen if you have availability to work a Tues/Thurs afternoon shift. Thank you for serving our students!
