BATTLE OF THE BINS

Riverside Red Cross and PTSA are partnering with the non-profit Veterans Are Heroes to help furnish temporary housing for homeless and struggling military veterans and their families. The campaign will begin on Veterans Day and culminate with a celebration of our veterans at the first Friday night RHS home basketball game against Mauldin on December 8th. Just like the upcoming rival football game over Thanksgiving weekend, you choose your favorite team to support when making your donation - Clemson or Carolina. Cash and item donations can be dropped in the appropriate "bin" each morning in the T-Mall or made online through the links below. We will announce the "winning" team at the game.

The Housing and Urban Development - Veterans Association Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) helps get homeless vets into apartments and other affordable housing situations. Veterans Are Heroes partners with HUD-VASH by providing the household items to make these houses into homes for our veterans. HUD-VASH and VAH placed nearly 60 vets and their families into homes during 2022. With the upcoming holidays and colder weather, we thank you for your assistance in keeping our struggling vets off the streets and into transitional housing.
